    Speaker Wire with 3.5mm jack
I need to get a new speaker cable, one of the 3.5mm jack on the end. However, I'm not sure where as I want a decent quality one that's not going to mess up.
    Any suggestions would be helpful.

what does it need on the other end (what's it connecting to)?

Bare wires, I need to solder them up to my current speakers.
One of them isn't working. Worst comes to worst, I'll get some cheap headphones and use that.

If the wire is still ok you can probably get a new 3.5 plug from the likes of Maplin and solder that onto the existing cable.

If you need more cable maplin can sell that as well. You can also try the likes of RS and Farnell. They might be cheaper for the parts but you might have to have a minimum order amount.

Nah, I want the entire cable up to the speaker unit. Less messing about and it'll look tidier.
    Thanks for the info mate.

buying a 3.5mm plug from maplin and soldering that on should look pretty neat and it's going to be as easy to solder a new plug on as it is to solder the cables inside the speaker.

If you want a molded plug onto a cable the best option you're likely to find is canabalising a pair of headphones, but to get a decent cable you'll need some fairly expensive headphones.

The only other suggestion I've got is to put a 3.5mm jack or pair of phono sockets onto the back of the speaker so you can use a seperate cable.
