Hey, So I got an offer from OB to do law in September. The offer was made to me 3 weeks ago. I still havent got my password/code thing to start the accomadation application process, and its really ticking me off! I emailed them today and they said that the accomadation dpmt is doing these in batches, and I should be getting mine soon...

Is anyone else in this annoying position???

Also to current brookes students, what is the accomadation like? Any reccomendations to where to apply? Be honest x

I got an offer back in Jan and I only recieved mine last week. Not that I think it makes any difference but I wouldn't worry if it's a wait. There's no rush as I'm fairly certain it's not first come first serve. Deadline is not for a long time yet.

Right, please stop getting frustrated with the university. You seem to be forgetting you are 1 of a few thousand students joining us in September, all who need to receive a printed out individual pip password Batches are done automatic and so your name regardless of when you got your offer or firmed could be in the last pile. Also the university accommodation department are currently dealing with all the students who are currently ending there halls contract (this years students) and so they are currently a priority.

Also there are plenty of threads on this forum which talk about all the accommodation available for you.

It's all done randomly so it doesn't matter when you get your password. Everyone's got an equal chance of getting into the accommodation they want.

Yeah, i wouldnt worry about it. Most people get their first choice accommodation.

Not all the time. I was a firm choice and got my 4th. Many people i lived with got there 4th/5th choice of accom. So not always the case

Think yourselves lucky when i was in halls it was done geographically so the further away you lived the more likely you were to get the halls you wanted, also you couldn't pick specific halls, all you picked was the type of halls.
