What is up with pricing in the country?
I've been trying to find a product, and finally found somewhere in the UK that sells it; however, it will cost £60 and take about a month to arrive at my house. However, I checked on Amazon.com and discovered that I can have the exact same product shipped over here from the USA for £15 less and, if I ordered right now, it would be here before the weekend ... so that £45 includes both the product and priority shipping.
What the hell is up with that? -

Well, by the sounds of things, the product you're after is probably manufactured mainly in the US.
So, UK retailers need to ship it over.
And therefore, the added price of the shipping for the retailer on top of what the item would normally cost explains the price difference quite well. -

If you buy the same product in the UK, the company selling it will have paid the duty, hence a higher price.
