Would you go to a rave alone?So 4 of my mates backed out on me last minute. There's an artist with special guests doing a live set in London over the weekend and I don't want to miss it.
Would it be strange to go alone?
Also it's a LONG journey there and back.

Why dont you start a thread where you ask random TSR members want to go with you. Im geussing you have no other friends or family that may take the tickets when i suggest this. You and the 3 randomers meet up and go together, would be interesting to meet totally new people. Although make sure the 3 peolle dont know each other or they will ditch you after recieving tickets!(Original post by Jerokiee)

When I went to Global Gathering it was about 3AM and Markus Shchulz was playing in the Godskitchen tent and no one wanted to go. I love him so I just went on my own, but that was a 15 minute walk away from my tent haha!
I guess it depends how far away it is and how much effort it'd be for you... You'd be going purely for the music so it's not like you're going for a night out on your own. -

I guess it depends how far away it is and how much effort it'd be for you... You'd be going purely for the music so it's not like you're going for a night out on your own.
It's a 2 hour journey there and it ends early in the morning so I'd be alone until like 10 AM when the next train to my town is available unless I get lucky.
I might have to also look in to a hostel or something for the night so I don't just sit around waiting to be mugged in London.

Nah it's a good way to meet friends. Raves or gigs are things you can do alone. Going on your own to some random pub etc. however is a bit more awkward.

Everyone there is there for the same reason and you have at least one thing in common so it isn't to hard to start up a conversation with a stranger. -

Definitely do it. It's not strange and it can be a lot of fun. Even if you don't smoke, go out in the smoking area for a break from dancing/the music and chat to people. I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun.

Aye not weird at all. If i was to talk to someone at a gig who said their on their own as their mates had bailed i would think all credit for turning up.

Re: Would you go to a rave alone?Yeah go for it. I went to a concert on my own for the first time this year. Actually turned out to be a brilliant night, got chatting with some people there. Ended up drinking with the band themselves until like 9am the next day (because I didn't have any commitments to drive friends home, or mates who weren't up for it etc and could do what I wanted).
