a bit of both. I won a few mtts online around then so didn't really go in much in the months before i quit though.

I remember Adonis tipping me once in a hand he wasn't even involved in because somebody who he didn't like bust out and went home.

    I think I remember you...

As for me, I was a 6ft 2 bloke who rarely spoke to people but usually tipped after every big pot. I had a tendancy to play the roulette for long periods with £200+ sitting on the cash tables.

Think scary eddie but nowhere near as bad :p:

Why can't you work like normal people.
Because i don't want and need to. Why would i work in some shop when i can make more money doing something that i love?

Just go away, do you think everyone who doesn't have a job is weird?

do it then, instead of alienating random people on a forum

I think you'll find that she was the one who commented on me and my life decision, making me seem like i'm a weirdo for not wanting to work in a regular 9-5 job.

I've been nice to you but **** OFF, stop butting in like you're the arbiter of what's wrong and right. If someone's making a bitchy comment, i'm going to reply to it and not going to ignore it for fear of 'alienating' them.

but yea, i'm done with you and this thread now. Some good advice on here from various users so be sure to read it. I wish you all the best in your poker/gambling career though (i'm being sincere!) and hope to see you on the circuit in maybe a few years

All my life my family have struggled with money, a thing many people have in common, including some of you i would imagine. I live with my dad at the moment because my mom kicked me out and unfortunately he's a gambling addict and what the month brings usually depends on how lucky he gets on roulette on payday. Recently however i discovered poker and found out that i'm really good at it and can be a profitable player.

The thing is, i just can't see myself with a lot of money. From the way things have gone from the amount that i've invested so far, i could be making about £3000 a month but it's like there's a block in me preventing me from doing so. I just can't imagine ME, a person who has never had any real money to speak of having a quite nice amount of it. I just can't imagine being able to look at something that i like in a shop window and having the ability to pay for it. It's like i'm too accustomed to not being able to do so that i just can't take that leap and become someone who can afford all these things. I've made about £300 quid so far and it could be a lot more but like i said, i just can't seem to properly invest and dedicate myself to it.

Does anyone get where i'm coming from and if so do you have any advice so i can be accepting of the thought of myself having money and not feeling weird about it?

Reading through your posts, you say you only been playing a few weeks, and the most you played is 8 games in a day.

Which says it all - Analysing your results over a short space of time is pointless, i won 15 DYM S&G's in a row once, so what does that mean ill win them all every time i play? What about the times where you play days on end, breaking even, or making a loss, try and deal with the set backs then.

Dont get me wrong, poker if your good is a great way to make money, the other day on stars i came 7th out of 2000 players in a tournament for $1800 - but its taken me years to get to the level im at now, and years to get to where i want to be.

You say you recently descovered poker and found that your actually really good at it...the worst thing you can do is think you cracked it, because believe me, you dont know anyhthing about online poker yet

No offence OP, but you are nowhere near good enough to make 3k a month. The other players in this thread are better than you, and you need to listen to them. your knowlegde of poker is not advanced enough to beat sngs at decent stakes. i play tournaments from $5-$55 stakes and the games are a lot tougher!. the graph there is from $0-$30 games and i think i am one of the best at pokerstars at those stakes. i am ranked top 1% on officialpokerrankings and I AM TELLING YOU that you need to listen to better players in this thread and stop being ignorant.

guys PM me if you have skype and want to be friends. (poker players only)

Being accustomed to thinking you don't have enough is not a bad thing. It makes you look into things before you purchase, and think "Do I really need this?". If you want to have money, earn it like everyone else. There is no money to be made from gambling, unless you are the table.

Don't fear money, it's mearly an object. It doesn't have emotions, or favourites. Anyone can earn it if you put in the effort.
