    Free Antivirus Comparisons
After years of paying for ESET, I am going to choose a free AV software.
The cost to buy the software for all of my PCs is getting expensive.
So... I have my choices of free software. Avira, Avast, AVG, MSE, and Anvi Smart Defender, Of those five....which would you choose if you had to load a free AV right now? Any ideas?

I use AVG, simple and effective coupled with Spybot S&D

I would go for either MSE, Avast or AVG (In order of preference). AVG can be a bit of a bitch at times though so ideally if you are using a genuine version of windows use MSE and if not then use Avast.

Empirical evidence is far superior to anecdotes.

Avira, Avast, AVG, MSE are good.
But I have no idea about the program Anvi Smart Defender.
I searched via Google, and find its product page http://www.anvisoft.com/product/smartdefender.html
From the description, it's an anti-spyware program instead of anti-virus program.

Avira, Avast, AVG, MSE are good free anti-virus program.

But I have no idea about the program Anvi Smart Defender.
I Googled it, it seems that it's an anti-spyware program, not an anti-virus program.

One of my friends commend me the program called " Anvi Smart Defender".

He told me that it's quite easy to use and it has a nice GUI.

    Thanks for your information.

I think I will install MSE and Anvi Smart Defender on my computer. I checked the official site -http://www.anvisoft.com/-, It was described that the two programs can work together.

Why does Comodo never get a mention? Fantastic Anti-virus, comes with inbuilt firewall and defense + and never had a virus when twinned with Spybot S&D.
