Re: OCR Gateway Biology B456 12 June?Oh, believe me it really was! So disappointed in myself. Yeah, I'm trying not to but I can't control myself! haha(Original post by meme0609)
I'm sure it won't be that bad haha, I'm just not going to think about it again til August!

Re: OCR Gateway Biology B456 12 June?Well last years grade and coursework should pull it up and the science grade boundaries are always suprisingly low tbh(Original post by raff:))

Re: OCR Gateway Biology B456 12 June?I said that ecstasy triggers more ADH production, and so more water is reabsorbed by the kidney and so less urine is produced and it is more concentrated!(Original post by TheUnderCOVER)
What did you get for the ADH question, something about ecstasy and ADH, can't remember the exact question

Re: OCR Gateway Biology B456 12 June? For that one I said that the ladybirds ate other organisms instead of the greenfly..(Original post by Prettygeek)
For the ladybird question, I just put that not enough ladybirds were used :/ -
Re: OCR Gateway Biology B456 12 June?Yepp that's what I put, I just wasn't sure if ADH made it reabsorb MORE water or LESS but Yayy my guess was right(Original post by raff:))
I think what I wrote was probably wrong, but I wrote that more ADH is released? So, more water is reabsorbed into the bloodstream, making the blood more dilute with water? idk

Re: OCR Gateway Biology B456 12 June?for the tropic level, i said that the energy increasingly runs out and so there would not be enough energy to support a 5th organism(Original post by No brainer1)
What did you get for the trophic level question?
and
The tick boxes question....
* quote me with what you've written
*
for the tick ones, i think one was something about stomato and the other one i cannot remember :/ -

Efficiency is 5% and there is not enough energy to support more levels.

Re: OCR Gateway Biology B456 12 June?
I did the exam today
I thought it went okay! I did two practise papers yesterday both from 2006, and most the content from that came up! After talking to people after the exam, i know i have definetely got some questions wrong. Our school takes this exam in January, so this was a re-take for me. I have a C to fall back on, but hopefully i have at least got a B in this! I answered nearly all the questions

Re: OCR Gateway Biology B456 12 June?I said that they would leave the plants because it isn't a controlled situation(Original post by bertsil)
The Lady Bird one I believe was that she didn't get enough time for the ladybirds to build up their numbers, so they were not effective on the pests, so she had to wait for them to reproduce.

Re: OCR Gateway Biology B456 12 June?Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's an answer as well but in the CGP Guide, it says one of the disadvantages of biological control is that it takes time for them to build up in number and the question said why hadn't she seen a change in 3 weeks, so I think that's the main answer.(Original post by Discredia)
