Re: Why do you want to go to university?Same here, perfect answer(Original post by beccafairy)
the love of my subject, and wanting to be taught about it! also to meet people with similar interests to me, and to live independently in a city that excites me.

I voted "Need a degree for a specific career" but getting far away from my family, my job and Rotherham in general for a few years is definately a bonus

Re: Why do you want to go to university?
I want to study medicine. Even if I wasn't going to study medicine or don't manage to study medicine I will still go to university because it would be stupid for someone of my intelligence not to go. I want a decent career, and I want to study a subject in depth so that I can have a variety of options when I leave education.

Re: Why do you want to go to university?
I've already done my degree but am going back to uni to do a masters in something I love just because I love it.
It's a hell of a lot of money and people expect me to be doing it to further my career (which it will no doubt, indirectly, as I'm self-employed in the same area) but at the end of the day I've just realised how important education and learning is, full-stop. The opportunity for me to go to a great uni and learn about such a fascinating subject will teach me how to think, analyse what I see and discover so many things I wouldn't be able to otherwise. It'll enrich my life and that is the biggest selling-point for me. -

All of the top 4 really, why aren't I allowed Multiple voting
Anyway I voted for more opportunities afterwards, but then that goes hand in hand with socializing and finding a good job through networking. I'm also very interested in my subject Computer Science and want to learn more about programming.

Re: Why do you want to go to university?
For the love of the subject as well as learning itself; it might sound weird to some but I don't feel like I can learn enough. I want to go into a certain sector but the jobs usually require a BA minimum. Also, it's not a reason but something that encourages me, I want to be able to make my mum proud. I know she loves the idea of telling people one of her children goes to/has been to university.
