    paragraphs english exam
i did TECHNICALLY separate my writing into paragraphs, but i did that by leaving out a line, rather than doing an indent in the next line. Is this incorrect and will it result in loss of marks, or are they both evenly valid?

I am absolutely no expert on how they mark english exams, or in fact on english, so I'm not sure why I'm answering this, however...

I don't think it is technically correct, I believe you are supposed to indent to demonstrate a new paragraph. But, at least you demonstrated clearly when you were starting new paragraphs and an examiner won't think it's just one massive paragraph.

I can't imagine you're ever going to be penalised very heavily for something that small so I wouldn't worry about it.

You're never going to sit the perfect exam anyway, there's always something silly we did or something we could have improved in hindsight, important thing is to just move on to the next one and make sure you do your best for that. I'm in my final year of my professional exams now and I've never walked out of one without something I think I screwed up and could have done better.
