what is a 'stand-alone' lecture? revise for it?

    what is a 'stand-alone' lecture? revise for it?
    my lecturer referred to the content of one lecture being stand-alone. does this mean the content will not be in the exam?

    No. It means that it doesn't link in with any of the other parts of the course. So presumably any question on it would be solely on the content of that one lecture,
