    Why are HR Mods specific?
    Hello,

I've been wondering recently why the site has Moderators but also Health and Relationship Mods? I mean, I can understand why they need moderators in the H&R forums, but why are they separate from a mod of any other forum? Is it because of the sensitive (usually 18+) discussion? The overwhelming popularity of those forums?

    Just wondering

As a former Mental Health mod I can say that some of it is to do with moderating anonymous posts. There also used to be a lot of spam in there so mods are needed to deal with it.

To be fair though, there's moderators for a lot of the different forums, it doesn't mean that H&R mods are separate.

Hey, pretty much all the forums have specific mods such as fitness, technology etc.. H&R do differ on the account that H&R mods get access to the anonymous feature as well as the sensitive nature of discussion that can happen there

EDIT: I got beaten to it ^^

Can I ask what gives you the impression H&R mods are different to the other (purple coloured) moderators?

    The different user group/title!

There wasn't one for example, Study Help Moderators or Hobbies & Interests Moderators, so I just wondered why.

    Haha, okay fair enough

I think you may be confusing the custom title each mod chooses underneath their username with something more offical, it's just a personal preference thing  Idle (who posted above) is a mod in one the H&R forums for example. All purple mods are in the same usergroup, but I can see why that may be confusing

    Ohh, I see now thank-you!

Thanks to Idle and hannah_dru for explaining the anonymous feature also!
