Does anyone know why the main jubilee events and ceremonies take place on sunday and tuesday, the queen was coronated on the 2nd of june which is today. I just thought it would've been more fitting to have the main events today. Anyone know the reason to this?

Not sure of the details but since she was crowned in 1953, I suspect the jubilee is a celebration of her accession not of her coronation.

I live near the river. Can't see anything from my window but can hear all the boat's horns (are they called horns on boats).

I have revision to do D:
I tried to get some bunting from sainsburys yesterday but they didn't have any, so our 'Jubilee Tree' (formerly Easter Tree and Christmas Tree) is not looking as fabulous as it should.

An utterly amazing display. These images alone are far more impressive than any fireworks display.
