Hi, I'm new here
Hi folks,
I'm currently planning to take a MA in translation at a British university, but it all will depend on whether I find a scholarship or not, since I live outside the UK and I've read and heard that life in London -and generally speaking, in the UK- is really expensive. So, I'm crossing my fingers!
Cheers. -

Well depends on just where you are coming from as well. And London is more expensive, as is the South in general, but there are lots of universities further North where it is cheaper to live, and some are in the top universities in the world. xx -

I already have an offer from the University of Westminster, so in case everything goes as planned I would be in London, no more, no less. Anyway, thank you for the advice!

Re: Hi, I'm new hereAh okie...well the grants are more for in London as well. Plus you can always get a part time job, I have a job in a hotel, 15hrs a week. Without it I would not be able to afford my monthly costs. xxx(Original post by lazaro7)

Re: Hi, I'm new hereMy degree is full-time but I still hold down a part time job, as do the majority of my peers. Just got to plan well and prioritise everything :-) xx(Original post by lazaro7)
Do you think it's possible to study a PG course full-time and work at the same time? I'm curious because the PG I'm planning to take is on the full-time scheme, so I'm not sure if I could work part-time while studying.
