Shouldn't there be a league table for Creative Writing?
I mean, they have league tables for History and separate for History of Art - so i think there should be a separate table for Creative Writing, even though most top universities offer it combined with English.
Out of reputation, which universities would you consider to be the best in creative writing? I know there is Warwick and UEA - but would you say that Royal Holloway, Nottingham, Birmingham and Goldmisths have good creative writing departments, among the like of Warwick and UEA? -
Re: Shouldn't there be a league table for Creative Writing?Well, I suppose most people just don't have any strong views on this...

The reason why it isn't listed as a separate subject is presumably that, as you say, Creative Writing at undergraduate level tends to be part of a joint course. The 'top' courses you hear about are usually MAs.
If your main question is really about the Creative Writing departments of Royal Holloway, Nottingham etc. rather than the league table thing, though, it might help to edit the title of your thread. -
Re: Shouldn't there be a league table for Creative Writing?
I'm thinking of calling up the Guardian and ask them about this!

Im planning to do a creative writing course, and UEA seems to be that obvious choice. But the other options are Birmingham City University and Lancaster.
Do you any others that have a definite course on creative writing??Last edited by RonnetClaw; 09-06-2012 at 18:03. -
