Re: Male opinions: perceptions of eating disorders and body image in womenYes. It's obvious from porn magazines, music videos, the catwalk, lingerie adverts etc what men like.(Original post by hiding12)
so you know what men like and we men don't....? -
Re: Male opinions: perceptions of eating disorders and body image in womenI've added a poll in honor of you, imso.(Original post by im so academic)
But it's not what men find attractive. Men find slim girls attractive.

Re: Male opinions: perceptions of eating disorders and body image in womenMedia portrayals of what men 'like' more often than not do not reflect the reality. A male porn fantasy may not match up with what they desire in real life.(Original post by im so academic)

Re: Male opinions: perceptions of eating disorders and body image in women
i think this is quite an unfair question.... if you are skinny you are skinny, even if you gain weight you aren't going to be curvy because curvy is like hour glass... same goes vice versa...
so whatever way people vote someones gonna feel crap -
Re: Male opinions: perceptions of eating disorders and body image in womenOne that's worried about snapping her in half.(Original post by im so academic)

I found an example of absolute female perfection (imo) posted on tsr the other day, and she probably weighed more than me. Skinny isn't everything.Last edited by Sabertooth; 01-06-2012 at 21:49. -
Re: Male opinions: perceptions of eating disorders and body image in womenThat question is kind of meaningless. I could give you lots of answers - they are already in a committed relationship, aren't into casual sex in general, may not want to go 'out of their league' (if you know what I mean). One can fantasise about beautiful woman, and would probably accept a proposition for an ONS, but the reality is that when it comes to relationships etc other factors come into play - personality, compatibility and so on. Having a beautiful woman on your arm just to be a trophy when you have nothing else in common isn't actually that appealing to a lot of men (well, men with a bit of maturity and nous). You need to be a bit less of a misandrist and give men a bit more credit here(Original post by im so academic)

Re: Male opinions: perceptions of eating disorders and body image in womenyou don't have to look at the results if you don't want to. it's just interesting, I don't mean to upset anyone(Original post by Bellissima)

Re: Male opinions: perceptions of eating disorders and body image in womeni think it's fairly obvious most men will go for curvy... some will go for skinny and others won't care...(Original post by sammy-lou)

Re: Male opinions: perceptions of eating disorders and body image in womenI actually expected a more even 50/50 split, which was why I put it as anonymous so that they wouldn't feel they had to be democratic and vote a certain way to please anyone! It really is a matter of opinion. If someone is self-conscious enough to take the results of a internet poll to heart then this thread probably isn't the best place for them to be.(Original post by Bellissima)

Re: Male opinions: perceptions of eating disorders and body image in womenPretty much! It's not the roughest place in the world, but it's a bit of a ****hole. You sort of get used to it(Original post by hiding12)
