    hey

i used to use this deoderant (cant remember the name, but ask in your pharmacy or doctors) and literally you roll it on once a day, and after a few days you dont sweat AT ALL out of your armpits. it literally works miracles!! you can run, do loads of excercise and its still completely dry!

the only drawback is that it had an ingredient in which can cause cancer. I stopped using it because of this! but i guess most things carry that risk nowadays! If your interested, definitely go and mention it at the doctors!

Driclor defo! Used to sweat like crazy and that helped. Don't sweat so much anymore though, no idea why!
Don't use too much, it itches like crazy if you do! And make sure your underarms are dry! xD
You put it on at night and you tend to sweat less the next day.

    Sweaty armpits or cancer.
    The choice is yours.

Can it used for the palms?
Yep. I have my driclor bottle here and it just says 'apply last thing at night after drying the affected areas'. It doesn't say just armpits, and I've heard of people using it for palms before.

Have you tried Driclor? I used to have the same problem as you do and ever since starting Driclor I've forgotten what sweating feels like!
I ran to mum thinking I had found a solution "Driclor" as so many of you had recommended it but realised this was the first treatment I was given by my GP and it didn't work. If it all worked for you I have a feeling I am something seriously wrong with me

Hey if diclor didn't work for you give PerspireX a go. I went to the shops today to get some and the guy working there said to come tomorrow since it will then be reduced to £3.50 (such an awesome guy!) It normally is £8! Or you can give Pitrok a go, it is meant to be organic so it does not contain Aluminium chloride but some other sort of Aluminium so there is the cancer scare gone. I am yet to test it so i woudn't know whether or not it is effective. You can get that also from Boots. The only down side is that it is a deodorant and works by eliminating the bacteria in your underarms so it won't prevent you from sweating (which I guess is not much help) but it will stop you from smelling! Haha. If you do decide to get it make sure that you get the crystal roll on thing since it is meant to last for about a year! :O!

Or if that doesn't work try to get Certain Dri, apparently that has a much less % of Aluminium chlorides which I guess is much better. Although, the links between Aluminium chloride and cancer has not been yet established I personally woudn't take the risk. Oh and the UK doesn't sell Certain Dri so you would have to order it online!

Hope I was of much help xx

    A couple of options:
    - perspirex (much cheaper on amazon)
    - see your GP again. my friend went several times and was eventually put on tablets which completely cleared up his excessive sweating

If weight loss is involved, I suggest a check for diabetes could be in order.

I'm an 18 year old female and ever since year 7 I have suffered from excessive sweating under my armpits. It's not only occurs during the summer but in winter also. I have tried every deodorant under the sun and have been to my GP twice and on both occasions the prescribed anti persperants failed to work. I went to the dermatologist recently and due to all the government cuts, he said that getting funding for the Botox treatment would be very difficult. Doing this treatment privately will cos a lot of money and it only lasts 6 months after which you have to go back and get it again. I'm getting depressed because of this and have been bullied in the past. Any ideas of what else I could try? Thanks.
I understand this completely. I used to suffer from excessive sweating. About a year and a half ago, I went to the doctor, and he prescribed me 'Anhydrol' - it's basically got aluminium chloride in it, which stops you sweating. It actually changed my life. For the first time, I could wear nice, summer clothes because I didn't have sweat patches. Ordinary deoderants just wouldn't do this for me.

With Anhydrol you must use it at night-time, after washing off any deodorant. DO NOT USE IT LESS THAN 24 HOURS AFTER SHAVING. It will sting the life out of you. If you know you're going to be putting it on, shave yourself the previous day. You really don't need to use a lot of it. When I first got it, I thought it was going to be like a normal roll-on deodorant. It isn't. You really don't need very much of it. Go to bed, and then in the morning, wash it off. You can apply deodorant if you'd like. It's recommended that you apply it for 2 nights in a row, then leave it for 2 nights, and repeat.

I won't lie - it's stingy. But once you get used to it, it is fine. You just need to make sure you a)don't shave for 24 hours before using it, and b)don't use too much of it!

I can't stress how much it's helped me. Even after the first two uses, I saw an amazing change. Now, I barely have to use it!
