Made me cry. Thank you so much for sharing. There are a few pictures that I would add though. These ones for example:

There are others too, but the ones from the link were so moving...

#40 is the most moving imho. It just makes me feel how small and insignificant we are.

    Number 10 was just beautiful.
All the others made me cry like a baby.

I didn't really feel much while looking through the pics. I guess the internet has messed me up.

I thought the picture of Earth was cool, though.

That list was really touching but this one always gets to me
Aye that got me and all when I first saw it.

What on earth possesses someone to get their camera out, set it up and take pictures instead of getting the child help? I read that the guy who took that picture went on to commit suicide from the guilt.

I also like the picture of the young man kissing his girlfriend on the floor. Very romantic.

My favourite is the picture of the Earth from the moon. It makes it seem very real and I can imagine being very scared stood on the moon and looking back at the Earth realising how far away I am from everything I know. You'd be terrified.

He got a lot of criticism for that. Apparently the child was desperate for water.

The raw emotion in this picture, the various people each with an entire story of desperation during the exodus from Saigon.

The napalm girl and the Afghan girl should be on that list.

    #36 touched me.

How was this picture not on the list?

Apparently he thought his job as a photographer was to be merely an observer. It seems like his duty as a photographer surpassed his duty as a decent human being. What did he see so wrong in taking the picture then helping the child instead of taking what he wanted and leaving the innocent child to, I imagine, a horrible fate.

It was number 21 that hit me. Felt like I had to find out more about him and came across this: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obit...-Greasley.html

What a man; what a life
I did the same thing and read the same article :P

Whether she had a horrible fate depends on your view of becoming a Canadian.

Nick Ut and Kevin Carter are not the same person. Nick Ut photographed Phan Thi Kim Phuc and Kevin Carter photographed the unknown baby.

I don't know how you can get the baby mixed up with Phan Thi Kim Phuc, one is Sudanese and has very dark skin, the other is east Asian and has very fair skin.

Sorry I mixed you up with inadilemma and the following postings all made sense as if you were commenting on the Vietnam photograph.

    Wikipedia states the following:

After snapping the photograph, Ut took Kim Phuc and the other injured children to Barsky Hospital in Saigon, where it was determined that her burns were so severe that she probably would not survive.[1] After a 14-month hospital stay and 17 surgical procedures, however, she was able to return home. Ut continued to visit her until he was evacuated during the fall of Saigon.[2]
