Best ever film battles?

Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

    Best ever film battles?
What's your favourite fight/battle/shoot-out in a film? Mine has to be the Battle for Helm's Deep in Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. What's yours?

Worst has to be Green Lantern! What was that? He literally give a small push to kill parallax into the sun. I thought Parallax was very powerful! Clearly not, what an anti climax. Most people liked it for Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively's good looks.

Also Mark Darcy and Daniel Cleaver's fight was extremely well done, a real proper boys fight

Lol I was really ticked off, felt like a rushed ending.
My little brother was terrified of the parallax, lol
What a waste of a cinema ticket..

This without a shadow of a doubt. It didn't need bull**** CGI to be epic, just gritty realism.

    The Battle of Pelennor Fields?
the Battle of the Morannon or Battle of the Black Gate is a fictional event that took place at the end of the War of the Ring. It is depicted in The Return of the King, the third volume of his epic fantasy book The Lord of the Rings.

Way of the dragon; Chuck Norris vs Bruce Lee.
what about when Jet Li took on a hundred karate guys in Fist of Legend

really though, best battle scene? - i liked the final fight in the Last samurai, mel gibson leading the scots vs long shanks in bravheart, the fight scenes in Troy (even the film was a snooze fest)

The opening half hour of Saving Private Ryan, the fight against all the Andersons in The Matrix, and the Battles in all LOTR (all for different reasons). Star Wars fights was cool too yeah yeah. Can't really remember films off the top of my head. Not really a fan of the Terminator fight scenes.

(If you watched all the Family Guy giant chicken fights in a row, is that long enough to count as a feature film? [Has anyone seen the recent one, aired in the US, was hilarious btw.])

I love the bare knuckle boxing fight in Snatch.

If we're talking huge scale battles then probably one of the Lord of the Rings films.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 Battle of Hogwarts
The last battle scene in LOTR the two towers
Kick Ass when hit girl attempts to save big daddy
POTC Dead man's chest when they fight for the heart in the chest (I think it's that one)
Hot Fuzz when they take on the town
and recently Snow White and the Huntsman the final battle scene

Helms Deep is probably the best I've seen.

    Braveheart had good ones too.
