I burnt a part of my arm on hair curlers. It's gone all weird.

Okay, so when I burnt it, It didn't hurt. It was on my skin for ten seconds tops,
anyway, I removed the appliance. I then put the affected part under cold water for ages.
I stopped, and applied some ointment I saw in the first aid box...
I then carried on with what I was doing.
It turned a different colour. Like It was dead.
Then started swelling. I think a blister formed. IT was huge.
    I didn't do anything.
When I woke up the next morning the blister was gone.. I'm guessing I accidently popped it. Given it was wet..
So I rinsed the surface, and applied some disinfectant.
    I covered it.
The next day the skin pealed away on half of the wound.
It started hurting? Then went all hard and scab like.
Half of it is scab like, half of it is weird shrivelly skin.
    Anyway,
It wasn't huge, so i couldn't go to A&E.. And my GP is booked up until the end of the month!

Anyway, what should I do now?
    Advice...

I'd probably pop into my chemist and see if they have any suggestions. Or you could try an NHS drop-in centre.
