GCSE History exam tuesday 12th june :(
    Hi everyone,
I'm so nervous for the paper 1 history exam on the 12th, my brain is like a sieve when it comes to remembering dates,so not looking forward to the exam esp because paper 2 was horrible, OCR were so mean.
How is everyone else revising for the exam? (mine is crime and punishment through time and the American West)
Any useful techniques for remembering things/tips for the exam?
    Thanks

Hey - we're on the same boat! But I'm doing medicine through time and nazi germany. I know the feeling...it feels like my brain has exceeded its maximum capacity and I can't take in anymore. Try doing something else for a bit then come back to all your notes with a pair of fresh eyes. Samlearning and Bitesize are quite good for revision, check out youtube as well - there's bound to be some revision videos for the topics you are studying.
Make a timeline, mind maps, revision cards - or whatever you think works best
Go to the AQA website and check out the past papers and mark schemes with the exemplar answers and identify what the question is asking you to do. Try out a load of questions so you can get your mind set

I'm trying to do all this but all the other exams are taking over! Good luck and Happy revising!

I have Medicine through time; doing the American West next year, along with controlled assessment. What I'm doing is just highlighting keywords and remembering them.

Not looking forward to this at all. 11th I have maths, 12th Biology and History and on the 13th.....Maths.

Sure, put the 3 massive/important subjects into one big clump.

    I hate exams...

I'm doing those options too, as well as trying to revise for philosophy and maths. There's just so much information in history it's ridiculous! I could focus on both nazi Germany and medicine for an entire month and still not know everything...as it is I've left myself a week D:

Urgh, I'm starting to re-evaluate how much I actually like history. I didn't think everyone would be doing such different topics :L Is everyone else's worth 35% ? I guess that is quite good, because then If I get a C or something I might still get an A maybe ? I don't know. How much does everyone write in the exams ? I know the paper is like 1 hour per section, so 2 hours, but I just can't write that much, the people next to me are always on their 8th page whilst I'm still on like my third lol.
