Samsung X11 battery problem
I bought this laptop secondhand a couple of months back - a good deal at £75 I thought, came with a GeForce Go GPU in it, which is great for playing Unreal Tournament on, but I have one little problem with it: it works with the battery in it, it works with the power supply in it... but it doesn't work with both. So I can't charge my battery, and I can't have the battery plugged in while I use it. I figured it was a problem with the battery, so I bought a new one. It worked for a while, but then conked out when the battery ran out. I looked at the power supply and, as before, the light was flashing, so I believe the power supply is being overpowered. Not a problem with the battery then.
I've got a new power supply on the way too, in case the problem is with that, but what do I do if it isn't? Is there a way I can rig together a battery charger using the spare power supply if it turns out to be a problem with the charging circuit in the laptop itself? Or is there a way to repair/replace the charging circuit itself?
At the end of the day, I don't suppose it'll kill me to use it plugged in. Just a bit irritating, that's all
