Have any student managed to get offers for Dentistry with A*A*B or even AAB as their final A-level results? Just wandering what my chances, if any, would be with that B.

I've never personally seen it when the applicant has been offered AAA, but i know some people have been given offers like that before. Usually their applications/UKCAT were outstanding. But in general it's AAA or nothing. Which is a very harsh reality unfortunately. If you did end up with those grades, i would reccommend begging and trying to make them let you in, if your UMS marks are quite close then you might have a chance, my friend managed this but then her remark brought her up to an A, other than that i would reccomend reapplying (assuming they reject you) and resitting that exam. It's not an ideal soloution as not all the universities accept resit applicants.

It also depends what that B is in. If its either chem or biol then i would say that its a big problem. If the A*s were in chem and biol then you might have a better chance. Best of luck whatever happens, I hope it works out for you in the end!!!

Glasgow want AAB with AA in Chemistry and Biology so you could apply there without having to resit.

You could also apply to King's College London as they consider a range from BBB/c to AAA/a. Someone on here applied as a resit student with ABB and actually ended up getting an unconditional offer from KCL (but they still resat and ended up with either AAB or AAA).

So you have at least 2 schools that you can confidently apply to.

Oh wow, that is good news! Do you know which uni it was? And if they had extenuating circumstances? And what their original A-level grades were when they applied? Sorry if I'm asking plenty of questions, but I really do appreciate the help!

Ahh yes, the problem is. This applicant wasn't a resitter, it was the first time round. And i believe the university was Sheffield. There wern't any extenuating circumstances. The predictions were A*AAA i believe. However, i've heard of people getting into Leeds with CCC at A level and an offer of AAA. So it really does vary from person to person and uni to uni, i would ring the unis and make an appointment to speak to the admissions officer, they'll tell you things straighter than i can. If i can help any more...just ask good luck again.
