Expandable laptop...
I have a Dell Studio 1737 Vista laptop that is getting a bit long in the tooth, the battery is also extremely knackered, so I am looking at upgrading.
I have in the past upgraded this myself with a second hard drive and a WWAN (mobile broadband) mini-PCI card that also has GPS functionality - the laptop has a built in SIM card slot.
Are there any laptops currently on the market that it is possible to add this functionality to? -

Re: Expandable laptop...Ooh... I just noticed the Second hard drive point. You'd need to check to see if there's space for that model - probably need to do some research. Lenovo are great though - everything is user serviceable. They publish the hardware maintenance manuals for Thinkpads on their website.(Original post by marcusfox)
Thanks!

Re: Expandable laptop...Yep, I was wondering, a while back I repaired my bro's Thinkpad and it didn't have space for another HDD under the cover. But then that was a pretty old model...(Original post by Mad Vlad)
