She's your mother, truthfully, she's probably just trying to give you a gentle push to get a gf and so far it seems to have worked as you are on here considering it.

So what if you've not, if it's through choice don't worry. Just try and casually meet people, go out, go clubbing, join public things, if you're at unis societies, try building some good female friends.

Chat up lines aren't really a good way to start, most of the time it will make you feel horrendously stupid.

Ie. I don't know many girls who are impressed after I say "Do I know you? No? Oh it's just you look like my next girlfriend..."

Of course it is. Why do you have to force yourself into a sexual relationship because your mum wants to make sure you're not halting the family blood line?

There was pressure before especially since girls want someone experience at this age. I was also feeling sad before this knowing that everyone I know has at least had their first kiss by now. But my family just put the final nail in the coffin.

Look, this is probably the problem here.

You sit here, you're not taking any of the stuff I offer you and just trying to refute everything I say.

Take what you can, get some confidence. You're behind, or feel it. So get up and do something about it. You've got catching up to do and it isn't going to begin when you're sat at the computer seeking sympathy.

Start looking for nice clothes on the internet, haircuts, ways you can improve, interesting ways to strike up conversation.

I'm just saying you're not alone, you're not a huge failure or a massive problematic type person. Go for it.

I havent refuted the stuff about clothes or chatting to girls in queue. Just the stuff about the pressure of being a 21 year old virgin. Pressure is natural. When I was 19 I met a girl who found it weird that I hadnt had my first kiss yet. Now im 21 so..

I also refuted the Jimmy Carr example because he is religious and im not. Even if he wasnt religious, its like saying that you saw someone loose their virginity at 40 on TV so its cool for me to wait until then.

You're making the complete wrong approach. Times have changed it's not ideal to hunt your woman and give a slick one liner to woo them into your arms (though not to say there probably isn't a few times a slick one liner will do the trick but ANYWAY).

You just need to meet more people - simply put. Guys and girls. Put yourself out there...talk more...go out with them or maybe even arrange outings. You can't just actively search for a partner. You need to just meet people and see where it's gonna go. Don't see every girl as the love of your life lol.

Because we can't really give any advice that you won't dismiss. It's your fault that you haven't had a girlfriend and being shy isn't an excuse. Gain confidence, improve your appearance if you need to, then start meeting girls during the day in a relaxed environment. After you've met a few girls you can start going out with them to places and if you like one of those girls, show your intentions sooner rather than later by flirting, teasing, touching, etc.

Where can I meet girls during the day? Also, will complimenting any attractive female customers at work be good? Like when im on the till.

I was just asking for advice and thought maybe complimenting random girls could help with my shyness. I just feel like I have missed out on alot of stuff because I havent even kissed a girl at 21. Most people have at this age and it upsets me. But I guess you wouldnt really understand.

Make some guy friends, go out to a nightclub one night and start dancing with girls there. If you're a decent looking guy, they'll dance with you; that'll boost your confidence around them. Exercise regularly as well, since that will also give you confidence and make you feel more attractive.
