Re: 6 year old boy's badly forged excuse note is accepted by his school...
I wish my teachers had been as dumb as that whenever me and my friends tried writing notes to get out of P.E though
. But, when it got to Year 11, we were mostly doing theory work on computers and no one really cared whether we did P.E or not anymore, we almost always used to sit the practical sessions out together
Anyway.....that kid is officially my new hero xDLast edited by Bibs_x; 03-06-2012 at 02:17. -
Re: 6 year old boy's badly forged excuse note is accepted by his school...The ironic thing is he wanted to go and play Lego Star Wars.Gannon Farley, from Middleboro, Massachusetts, was fed up with playing with Lego at his day care and wanted to go home to play on his Wii instead.
It's also quite funny that he shares a name with a Nintendo villain. -

It makes me wonder though, are teachers really getting braindead?
Or maybe it was one of those lazy teachers who didn't care about putting an effort into her job. She could've just been like "Ok whatever, a note, you're excused!" before falling asleep on her desk?

Re: 6 year old boy's badly forged excuse note is accepted by his school...Yeah you do get this ass teachers who basically cba to check things up and say ok to every kid who wants to get out of something. But that was too much. It looks like a 6 year old wrote it coz it was!! Blatantly the teacher who dismissed him was THICK or COULD NOT BE BOTHERED.(Original post by Bibs_x)

If she cba, shes an idiot...the poor dude is only 6. Thank God he got home safely! -
Re: 6 year old boy's badly forged excuse note is accepted by his school...I did have quite a lot of teachers like that actually. Mostly during R.E in Year 10, a time when my lessons were taught by a bunch of cover teachers who didn't really care about what we did. There was this one Welsh woman who instead of teaching our lessons, spent an hour complaining to the class that everyone though she was Polish because of her accent! (o_0) But most of them didn't bother to plan proper lessons at all. With them you could probably walk out of class or show them a poorly written excuse note and they wouldn't pay attention or care.(Original post by nash_4_lyf)

Oh and my GCSE Spanish teacher in Year 10-11 was awful. She was a good French teacher, because she was actually French but when it came to Spanish all she used to do was get us to draw posters.Last edited by Bibs_x; 03-06-2012 at 14:04. -
Re: 6 year old boy's badly forged excuse note is accepted by his school...Lol those are always the coolest teachers, but then in the long run they **** up your education. My business studies gcse teacher (yearsss agoo) was always texting his girlfriend, and then telling us what he got up to over the weekend and stuff! And he was the coolest teacher about attendance, would never mark u late. i dont know if he was thick or just couldnt be arsed... i remember when i was 16 i told him i have a driving lesson so wont be in next lesson and he said ok. i was 16 and he didnt clock on....(Original post by Bibs_x)

Lol at the parent going off on one at the school rather than telling her son off for lying and putting himself in danger!
Also with some of the adults you see trying to raise kids these days I wouldn't be surprised if that note was legit -
Re: 6 year old boy's badly forged excuse note is accepted by his school...Yeah, R.E during my last 2 years at school was fun purely because all these terrible teachers never bothered to teach any lessons properly. I did end up getting a D overall, which was a shame because back when I was taught by a good teacher I did quite well in R.E(Original post by nash_4_lyf)

But it wasn't a GCSE I wanted to take anyway, though I was made to because I went to a church school

Re: 6 year old boy's badly forged excuse note is accepted by his school...I guess it's just confirmation from the parent that they need, because otherwise it's just 'Dear ..., ... was not in school yesterday because ... has a stomach bug/flu/etc.' and it's not really that important which illness it is unless it's long-term, in which case you usually need a doctor's note for them to think you're not just slacking off.(Original post by TheSownRose)

School notes are just a farce, though. I remember my school only required a note, not necessarily a note of explanation ... so my absent notes were always "Dear So-and-so, Rose was not in school yesterday".
They've got to start somewhere.
