Hey i got on unit 2 which we sat first so it was my first exam hence the lower grade i got 74/100 .. unit 1 i got 80/100 unit 3 81/100
Your results sound a bit similar to mine XD except Unit 1 I got 69, Unit 2 81 and Unit 3 85. I need 85 again to get an A overall, not gonna happen.

If you have 10 minutes left and you're nowhere near done, bullet point. Trust me, I did that when I ran out of time in Unit 3 and I got 85/100, because it helps to have the content and application there rather than not at all. Also, the chief examiner says you should be able to do theft in 12 minutes, and it's true, you can. My law teacher went to a big meeting with the examiners and that's what she said, and then she timed us to do theft.
12 minutes? There's so much to talk about for theft, it's the longest one, comapred to the others. Mind you, it is easier, just very hard to get everything in on time. Also, even if we do theft in 12 minutes, that would leave 13 minutes to talk about robbery, criminal damage/ aggravated criminal damage and duress, which is impossible, no?

It sounds impossible, but robbery isn't too bad as you have to have a completed theft for it anyway, once you've done criminal damage aggravated criminal damage is pretty straight forwards and apparently for any defence they're only looking for about a paragraph anyway. It sounds really ridiculous but it is doable.

What are you actually talking about in your theft answer? If you let me know that I can tell you what you don't need to include
I suppose I talk about the whole lot - actus reus and mens rea of theft. How were you told to answer?

Well I do that too, but I meant do you include things that aren't specifically reflected by the scenario? Like do you mention Oxford and Moss when there isn't anything regarding "stealing" knowledge? Because when we started doing theft we all put everything we knew about theft, but as it went on we sifted through the appropriate knowledge for the scenario and omitted the irrelevant stuff (such as the property exceptions under s4) where it wasn't needed. It's amazing how much time you save by not putting in the stuff you don't need.

Hmmm that's very true I guess. You know how the actus reus of theft is the appropriation of property belonging to another, do we need to explain the three elements of the actus reus or which ever part is necessary. I explain all the elements but by that time I am running out of time to write all the rest =/

How much are you actually writing for each part? Are all of your cases absolutely necessary/do you explain facts as well as judgements?

worrying about law thoo because i need 86/100 to get in uni on this exam!
    Ahh not good that's a highish A.
I only have to get a B overall but aiming for an A and have to get 81 for that

I have this paper and bio on the same day. Normally I would say I know law months in advance but this time I literally know nothing!! I need 38% to get an A overall, however anyone else just think theres 5 times as much to know this time! Also the defence of intoxication confuses me, I'm never sure if its worked out pre/post formation of mens rea or is actually part of it.

Hey everyone. Does anyone know what's come up in the concepts question over the past years? Just trying to figure out which essays to really learn don't think I'll have time to commit three to mind. Haven't started hardcore law revision yet

    God I'm so unprepared.
It doesn't help our law teacher is always away on courses and he only set us our first mock last week. I got an E.

And he only just started teaching us concepts like last month.
Are there any predictions for what ones will come up?

Also, if I wanted a B or a C overall in law, what would I need to get in this exam?
    I got a C in Unit 1 and a B in Unit 2/3.

prediction is that either fault or balancing rights are likely to come up since they were the two that did not come up.

That would depend on how many ums marks you got on each unit.

Hey guys was wondering if anyone had either an essay plan or an essa they've wrote that got a good mark on either
    Balancing conflicting interests or
    Law and morality or BOTH

Would be much appreciated I'm just unsure of how to structure it
