AQA M2 Question on Centre of Mass in June 2005 Paper

Im struggling on this question about center of mass. Its question 4 in the AQA m2 paper for June 2005.

I really dont know where to start since it involves two uniform laminas on top of one another. I have uploaded the question and mark scheme to this post.

Would really appreciate some help with this mainly on part (a) :frown:

This is sort of a fundamental centre of mass question, where you consider the mass of one lamina x position + the mass of other lamina x position = mass of combined lamina x position. see if you can identify the elements to the equation, the individual masses, and individual positions.
