How to add up Edexcel GCSE maths mark

I'd like to know how the marks are added up on the linear paper? It's because I got 54/200 on the June 2011 paper and on the mark scheme it said 42 was a C, but I still think it seems to easy for a 54 to be a C grade just like that.

I thought that they divide by 200 and times by 100 or something like that?

I think you read it wrong. The C grade boundary for the Edexcel Linear June 2011 paper was 47 out of 200.
