10 points Short of ucas offer.
Hello, i have applied for The University Of Lincoln, to do drama, and i currently do a BTEC Certificate in it at College, i'm predicted a DD overall, and with my AS level, this should bring me to 270 ucas, but Lincoln want 280. I have an A2 level, but i don't think I will pass it, and i have recently found out that Work Skills is basically a redundant qualification with no ucas points, which is why I asked not to take it, but they still put me on this course anyway.
Now, i was wondering, if you know if work skills can actually come under key skills, which means I will have exactly 280 ucas. Or if you know if Lincoln will still let me in if I am 10 points short, I have heard they have let others in sometimes, and the interview went really well and the people there said they really liked me and hoped to see me soon, so would they perhaps allow me do you think, especially seeing as my drama grades should be basically full marks...?
Any help would be amazing.
Thanks! -
Re: 10 points Short of ucas offer.
Whether they're let you in or not is dependent on how many other people meet the offer, how far short you actually fall (which is only 'half a grade' at A-level if you get your 270 and not 280) and how much they want you compared with other people who didn't meet their offer/would they rather go into clearing instead of giving you the place?
Can't help for it falling under Key Skills or anything, but best of luck anyway.
