And my view is the countries view on free speech, to take away a basic human right from everyone to appease a very small minority is absurd. But this is off topic, and we wont and shouldn't start banning people from expressing their opinion.
I didn't say that. Frankie Boyle is not a stand-up. He's a bigot who's jokes are not funny.

Making money on the back of being an 'Isamophobe'.

The majority of his material doesn't have anything to do with Islam, and humor is subjective.

Does Russell Brand still count as a British comedian? Not sure what it is about him, but his stand-up performances make me ache from laughter.

Frankie Boyle isn't an islamophobe he just says what he wants about anyone, doesn't matter what religion they are, you should watch the rest of his stuff and see how many other people he pisses off. Still in my top 10 though, impossible to choose the best one but my favourite at the moment is Steve Hughes, aussie but lives in Britain.

He's certainly not original, and he is trying to be like Peter Kay.

It's the fact that you dismissed other people's comedian choices as abysmal, yet you came up with Jason Manford, who's about as funny as AIDS.

As for my rep count, I couldn't give a ****. I post what I think, not to make other people happy.
That's surely a matter of opinion

You took my saying of other peoples choices as abysmal as if I genuinely thought what other people liked was rubbish, in the context of this thread it was clearly a bit of hyperbole that meant nothing other than the fact that I enjoyed Manford's stuff.

I post what I think as well, there's no need to insult people is all I'm saying

I agree that he is hilarious, but I love his impromptu lines like on 'would I lie to you?', he is soo naturally funny on that but I don't think he's a great stand up comedian personally.

Jimmy Carr is the most irritating, overrated comedian in the country.

As for the best, I think it has to be Bill Bailey. Out of the new generation, I think Kevin Bridges will go on to be one of the best.

Peter Kay, every time! Just got back from holiday and I overheard quite a few people making quoting his holiday jokes - he got it spot on!
