Blonde versus Brunette; should I dye my hair brown?
Before I was fifteen I was naturally blonde, and then 15 onwards my hair went brown...ever since I have been having highlights to go back to blonde, but am now considering a change.

Always indecisive I thought I'd ask everyone's opinions; do you think brunette would suit me?

I have attached two photos so you can see my face/skin tone. Any opinions/suggestions?

    Thank you

I think the colour you are now (especially in the second photo) suits you well. It's like a golden colour and compliments your skin tone. Just make sure to do your roots, and don't go any lighter

What ever you feel comfortable doing, others opinions don't matter.

I agree with doing what makes you feel comfortable, but when i'm unsure as to whether i'll feel comfortable as a brunette is when I ask other peoples opinions too

    1) You are SO pretty!
    2) Personally, I think you'd suit being a brunette better

You do suit blonde but I think you could definitely pull off brown hair as long as you choose a colour with like golden or copper tones to make for a warmer colour (and one thats not too dark) and you can always use a semi-permanent colour first to make sure you like it x

You have princess hair - so jealous

I think the blonde suits you! I think a dark brown or a lighter, dirty-blonde would look nice

I think you look great like this, and blonde suits you very well so I don't think you should change it.

You're so pretty! Blondes are waay hotter than brunettes imo, I'd keep it like this, but it's up to you.

I think either would suite you fairly well. Black hair would look bad on you though.

Sorry to be awkward but I think you'd look lovely as a strawberry/honey blonde, something like this:

Agreed. Never going near black hair dye.

Thanks for all your replies everyone! Very kind. I'm tempted to do the honey blonde/dirty blonde. That way it's a little different but is still a change. Hmmm, no black hair dye though...don't want to ruin my graduation photos.

Of course you're pretty so you'd 'suit' any hair colour. Brown hair usually makes people appear more mysterious and less harsh and tacky, whereas blonde hair can add a bit of a WAG look. I'm blonde and can't be bothered to dye my hair but sometimes would love the more 'natural' classier look of a brunette.

That being said I have never seen anyone look better with a colour that's far from their natural shade. Taking that into account, if I was you I'd go for a caramel tone, I think it would soften your features, make you look more natural and glow-y and will be a great compromise.

On your next trip to the hairdresser, ask your stylist. They will have a very good idea of what will work and what won't, and they may even surprise you with suggestions that you haven't even considered.

The good thing about brown is that you can go for a test-drive with a semi-permanent dye. Why not try it for a month or so, and if you don't like it, just use lots of head and shoulders.
