One of my dogs does this when I come home from uni for a visit, presumably because I've "abandoned" him for a period of time. I genuinely have to buy his love with treats, and it can be 3/4 days before he acknowledges me properly again! And when he sees me packing up the car to go back, he won't let me say goodbye. Dogs are smart, man.
