cooking dinner for my friends, help?
hello, my friends and i are going to be doing a 'come dine with me' at uni after our exams to fill part of the 3 weeks of dossing we have before exam results come out, obviously we're students so money isn't exactly no object but my cooking skills are okay, the only problem is my friends collectively are hard to please food wise:
-2 dont like anything remotely spicy
    -1 doesn't like indian food
    -1 doesn't like potatoes
    -1 doesn't eat any veg
-2 are generally quite fussy so anything particularly exotic, or odd combos is a no-go...

    any ideas?

Tuna pasta bake, or korma and rice?

I have to admit that no vegetables / potatoes does rather limit things!

I would highly recommend doing Mexican fajitas with a variety of different stuff to put in, so people can pick an' mix what they like. Usually a fairly nice combo is a dish spicy sausage salsa, some BBQ chicken for the non-spicy people (big girls!) and then just loads of veg, salad, sauces and cheese! That's my favourite meal to cook, although it's pretty hard work to do a lot of it.

Sounds like a creamy or a tomatoey pasta dish is going to have to be what pleases everyone here... Or pizza

Can you do a roast dinner? So chicken, stuffing bally things, yorkshires and pigs in blankets for the non veg eater, then lots of veg for people to help themselves to?

We did a come-dine and had all sorts, homemade pizza, thai mild green curry, chicken in bacon.

Or chicken cacciatore is nice and easy. Mascarpone and tinned cherry tomatoes mixed together with garlic and onions for a sauce and then cook up some chicken breast and cook the lot in the oven. Serve with pasta and optional veggies Have a sexy recipe somewhere.

    This.

You can never go wrong with fajitas.
