I've just started revising one/two weeks before my actual exams?

yes. plenty of people start revising with a couple of weeks to go (me and in fact probably the majority of people i know haven't started A2 revis). but if you're predicted Bs getting up to A*s would be a hell of an achievement even if you'd been revising since the start of study leave or even before. obviously it depends completely on you and whether those predictions are fair or not.

Re: I've just started revising one/two weeks before my actual exams?I actually just have 1 week :/(Original post by Niceneasy)
Just keep studying your subject bullet points. Literally make sure you understand everything the exam is going to explain. 10 hours a day, 14 days... Easy

For example I'm predicted a C for R.E but I managed to get A* for my mock. All my predicted grades apart from maths are a bump to be honest :/ -

Yes it is possible, but I would use all the time I have to actually revise and not to hang around TSR, if I were you.
I only go on TSR just before I go sleep apart from now

Re: I've just started revising one/two weeks before my actual exams? What are your predicted grades?(Original post by Lucy96)
It's definitely possible! I revised literally a couple of nights before my History exam(stupid I know) but still managed an A*! So you'll be absolutely fine

Re: I've just started revising one/two weeks before my actual exams?
if you're predicted Bs then you'll have to actually work hard until your exams... to be honest i started working about 2 days before my exams but it's quality, not quantity. what did you get in your mocks? you can easily go up 1/2 grades without doing much extra work if you're good at them, but if your mock results were the best of your ability then a week's worth of revision probably isn't going to get you from a B to an A*
-
Re: I've just started revising one/two weeks before my actual exams? No I don't really try hard in my mocks and to be honest I don't feel its worth putting effort in to them as it doesn't really account for anything :/(Original post by canŵio)

But I normally get B/A's

Re: I've just started revising one/two weeks before my actual exams?
If you haven't already, print off the specification for your exam board, and make sure you know everything (seriously, EVERYTHING!) on it. If you do that, I think you definitely have a good chance!

I don't think the time limit is a problem; I managed to learn the whole specification for biology by doing an hour a day for three weeks, so you can do it!
Good luck!

Re: I've just started revising one/two weeks before my actual exams?
I suppose it's possible, but honestly studying straight with no distractions and being able to take in everything you learn and remember it in 2 weeks, is fairly difficult.
I usually start studying 1-2 months before an exam, and I'll say to myself I'll go over it 4/5 times from the time i start until the exam and just study straight. The thing is that never happens and I will only manage to go over things twice thoroughly and once quickly, due to distractions and just the way I am. Luckily that seems to be enough to get it all in, but even then I still forget some small details which for all you know that small thing you forgot could be worth 1 or 2 marks and is the difference between an A* and an A or an A and B.
Not that me telling you this will help considering you only have two weeks, but I'd just get my head down, turn everything off, including the PC find somewhere you wont be distracted and get on with it.
Also it depends on the subject I suppose, social science subjects aren't as bad because it's more understanding the principle behind an argument for example a politics question may ask 'Party discipline is bad for the democratic process. Discuss'. Providing you know enough about party politics you could easily find a good arguement in there with some pros for your argument, some suggested opposition to you argument and a reply to the opposing arguments finishing off with a good conclusion. In a subject like maths for example it's not quite so easy because you need to remember the correct sequence of a fomula or mathematical procedure. Similar level of difficulty, different ways to go about achieving the grade.
