When will the government start controlling what fat people eat?
When is the government going to start controlling what fat people eat?
They restrict me from snorting cocaine, smoking marijuana and drinking psilocybin tea because they think that this is dangerous for me to do this. If they catch me in posession of this I get into trouble. They dont restrict the fat person pounding down big macs all day though.
When will the government start telling these people how they can live their lives aswell? Hopefully soon, I dont want my tax money going towards a fat persons medical problems which are more than likely a result of poor personal choice.
I cannot even use Amphetamine. Atleast I can still use my clen and trenbolone. -
Re: When will the government start controlling what fat people eat?
They won't start controlling it because they can't control it. Part of the reason America gave up on banning alcohol was because it is too easy to make that it is difficult to stop people drinking. Restricting peoples food intake is too hard to enforce so they can never do it.

Re: When will the government start controlling what fat people eat?Why not?(Original post by Martyn*)
I don't think you can equate illegal drugs with fast food.
Its to keep everyone safe(Original post by Keckers)
You'd be better off asking why you are prohibited from ingesting certain substances instead of encouraging further criminalisation of the past times of individuals.
When people go over a certain bodyfat % send them to prison for their personal lifestyle choice. In prison they can be put on a controlled diet where they cant abuse their body like that anymore and it will cure their nasty habit and make Britain a safer place.(Original post by Llamageddon)
When they find a means of legislating for it.
Yeah why not. We ban drugs for everyone including those who arent addicts(Original post by PinkMobilePhone)
and just how do you propose they do that exactly? A total ban on fast food, even for those people who are not overweight?
Guns are not illegal. I would advocate reforming the laws and repealling all of the uselesss gun control acts which currently exist. This is all backed by research.(Original post by Norton1)
So judging from your previous thread you want to legalise guns...and ban pies.
Sweet.
The mayor of New York seems to be leading the way by banning drinks over a certain volume. Good on him. New York will be a safer place.(Original post by Sternumator)

Re: When will the government start controlling what fat people eat?not just recreational drugs(Original post by JollyGreenAtheist)
I do believe OP is rather sardonically getting at the illegal status of recreational drugs... -
Re: When will the government start controlling what fat people eat?It won't, people will just drink more drinks or stronger drinks. It makes drinking slightly more inconvienient which might stop a few responsible drinkers but people who want to get drunk will still get drunk. Its like pubs being licensed to 11, there might be a few people having a quiet drink who might have had another pint if it was open until 12 but you dont stop people who cause problems because they will happily go on to somewhere else. People also get round the law by having lock-ins. You can't stop people doing what they want to do because there will always be a way around the law.(Original post by TimHuak)

Re: When will the government start controlling what fat people eat?Except of course whether a drug is illegal or not is completely arbitrary. Something being illegal is never a reason for it being bad - unless you accept the unwavering authority of government to dictate what is right and what is wrong.(Original post by Martyn*)

(Incidently I'm incredibly anti-drugs - but that's a personal decision and not at all influenced by its legal status).
My personal view is that government has a responsibility for the well-being of its citizens. Although fat people would no doubt dislike being forced to eat a salad instead of a burger (though I think many people would be surprised at how beneficial having that incentive works out for them), it is in their best interests and in the best interests of the country. I feel particularly strongly about overweight children, and think that parents need to be heavily punished for allowing it to happen - I can't see any argument against it being child abuse and neglect. People often say "I can't help it, the child won't listen to me" - but I also strongly believe that it's just bad parenting (that doesn't necessarily make them a bad parent though - I include my own mum in this category and clearly think she is a great parent!).
Many people of course dislike that view and think it's none of the governments business, which is a completely reasonable opinion. -
