How about a pot plant rather than a bunch of flowers? That might be seen as more of a platonic "thank you" gift than a bouquet, if you're worried about being misinterpreted.

Flowers for someone you've only met once? What about just giving her a card out a nice email? I'd find it a bit weird, even if I'd reply helped the guy out.

But knowing me I would not bother with flowers and just a card, we sent a thank you card to the housing benefit guy in Wales. I bought chocolates and a thank you/christmas card for the school nurse at my brothers school, cos she had a spare key to our house and she kept lending it to me despite it being meant for my brother.

Well giving *a flower* will probably send the wrong message. If you stroll into her office wearing a cape with a single rose between your teeth, it's going to seem a little dodgy. Get a *bouquet*, and then it doesn't really matter. Go to any local (super)market and there should be a decent selection. Throw in a "thank you" card for good measure to avoid any ambiguity, and try to keep your top buttons done up, you player!
