Loughborough's situation with guests staying the weekend?
I know on the website, it says that we can only have a single participance in a room at Loughborough, but how strict are they on this rule as I would like my boyfriend to visit me from time to time?

    :-)

If its like my halls in Leeds its absolutely fine, they have no way of telling who lives there and you're obviously allowed friends over in the day its your room after all theres no problem. Guy next door in halls had his mate staying for couple of months because he couldnt afford rent or something

"It's not allowed". But in reality, unless it's causing a problem for other people, they're unlikely even to notice. People are always going to stay overnight or for a weekend or whatever, there's no way they're ever going to stop it completely.

Just a word of advice, if you're going to have your boyfriend over, ask your flatmates first if it is okay. 99% of the time, they'll be totally cool with it, but I've heard of someone who went through a massive hassle with it as people in the flat seemed to have an issue and reported her, even though her and her boyfriend didn't cause any trouble.

But yeah, if your flat are cool with it, go ahead. Everyone does it and as long as you don't annoy people, no one in charge cares.

Yeah, I know right. It was really stupid because it was Uni accommodation, so it wasn't even like he was using a ton of electricity or gas and wasn't paying for it, like if it was a shared house. I think it was more that the other girls were jealous they didn't have someone who wanted to visit them so often...and unfortunately what they want is more important than what shouldn't actually be an issue. In the end, the warden had to side with the girls in the flat because it's policy.

My boyfriend is at Loughborough now and I've been to stay with him lots since he started in September. No one has ever said a word and I've walked past the wardens etc. I also take my car with me and tell the people who work on the barriors that I'm staying with him and they're cool with it
