    That's brilliant.

I know probably they're more popular than they seem, but I know nobody in real life who listens to these guys (or, in fitting with the thread title, has even heard of them ).

Ah Four Year Strong are awesome!!
Have you listened to their song, 'Wasting Time'???
    It's amazing :')

    More house vibes.

Ooops just realised this is a bit of a zombie thread. Also, nearly forgot this banger. The sound of summer:

    Thriving Ivory are underrated

The Weeknd is just outstanding - I'm pretty sure this is a new genre of music entirely

You have just introduced me to Thriving Ivory, a deed for which I will be eternally grateful. I love singers with weird voices.

Trance music is really good. Here's a nice remix of Moby's Porcelain:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klpJl...e_gdata_player

They don't make remixes like that anymore, when they completely changed the feeling and mood of the song.

Yes, Moby is known but the awesome remixer is underground.

Genesis from the 70s Peter Gabriel era. Selling England by the Pound is a brilliant prog rock album, one of the best ones. Dancing with the Moonlit Knight is so good ^_^.

The Dead Kennedys are really good (better than the Clash? No ). I know they're quite well-known, but when you're 16 years old and everyone listens to pop music or Coldplay, Kasabian, etc. The DKs are quite unheard of. Again, an obvious option but Holidays in Cambodia is a good listen (if you like 'hardcore' punk rock). Did you know, Police Truck by the DKs is the opening song to Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (loved that game, but I was always playing Tony Hawk Underground, always joining Birdhouse )

I love my Arabic songs but my non-Arab mates do not know anything about the singers on my iPod. Occasionally, I introduce them to songs like this:

The Gathering goddamit! They've been going for over 20 years, yet I never meet anyone who has heard of them! All their albums are masterpieces.

This last one isn't obscure, I just like Stevie Wonder (and it isn't his most famous song in comparison to superstition)

Ahh, I love this song so much! Normally falls by the wayside in comparison to Superstition. So glad I'm not the only one who likes it!
