Umm, hey. New girl here! Few general questions...
Hey There!
I'm Becca and Ive just joined The Student Room. I first came across TSR when I was searching for a few things to do with my future and this site kept popping up. I had read a few threads before I actually made my account. It seems pretty cool.
May I just ask a couple of things:
I feel a like a little bit of a youngster as I'm only in year 9 and most of the posts are from people who are a good few years older than me
Are most people here older?
Also, do people normally get the help/advice they need from TSR? Are there any other useful sites I could get advice from about careers, part time jobs, studies, etc?
Thanks for your time!
Becca

Welcome to TSR! Many members may be older than you are, yes, but you'll also find many here of around your age. Of course it depends on what the question being asked is, but yes, many people will get the advice that they're looking for from members here.

I'm pretty sure that there are at least a couple of other Year 9s around here somewhere - as you go into Year 10 and beyond you're practically guaranteed to find more and more people of your own age. I see you're thinking about your future? I'd recommend taking a look in the Study Help forums. In the GCSE subforum there are thriving Year 10 and 11 threads, and an even bigger Year 12 thread in the A Level forum. I know first hand that you'd be welcome in any of those threads if you need advice or just general chat.
Personally I've always found the help I needed on TSR. If you look down the main forums list you'll find dedicated subforums for all of those areas that you're interested in.
Have fun using the site!
