I'm sure you do because on the mark scheme it says 60 RAW marks is 100 UMS(Original post by Usaldo)
can someone please tell me whether you have to get 60/60 to get 100UMS

Re: OCR Gateway Chemistry C4,C5,C6- June 15th
I think the paper was hard
, I made so many mistakes
and my fear the grade boundaries are going to be higher.
Wasn't there another question which was to do with numbers? There was this table given with values and you had to work out how much copper sulphate this girl would make, predicted or something...please help I am confused

I didn't find the exam too hard. I probably screwed up the maths-related questions, but it wasn't that bad, to me. I was happy that I got the trick question right!

Yes, there was, she used a certain amount of reactant, you were given the product amount. Then she increased the reactant amount, and you had to find how much product she made.

No, last year I got 297 in total and all 3 were lost from physics, but I knew that I'd dropped at least 2 from the Chemistry, so I think you can slip 1 or 2 and still get 100. -

No you dumbasses, if 90ums is around let's say 45 marks for an exam then about 51 would be 100ums. 1 mark is not 1 ums lol.

Re: OCR Gateway Chemistry C4,C5,C6- June 15thGeez, the amount of people who try to prove me wrong these days.(Original post by gideongaspard)
Actually you're the dumbass 60/60 is 100ums ive seen from the past years grade boundaries: )
Once you get to around 51 marks which is around 100 ums, (varies on the difficulty of the paper/the performance of the whole cohort) then any mark between 51-60 is 100 ums. Please, do some research. Also, don't call people dumbasses when you are one yourself.Last edited by QuantumSuicide; 25-07-2012 at 13:08. -

Re: OCR Gateway Chemistry C4,C5,C6- June 15thErm... just make notes on the units on paper/note book summarising key topics into bullet points or short sentences, memorise what you've summarised. Every so often go over what you learned. Test your understanding by saying everything you know about the topic with books closed. (It's helpful if you have a friend to help you verify if what you said is correct). Near official exam time do every past paper and aim for full marks each time be strict with yourself. Aim for 20/20 on each section. This way if you fall short of full marks you'll have a high A* anyway.
Helped me in physics I got 292 UMS and bio 272. (coursework pulled me down). P5 and P6 are hard, I would stress this technique on these units especially.
Hope that helped
, I made so many mistakes
