Okay does anybody want to do a little sort of revision quiz thing?
One person asks a question and the first to answer correctly gets to ask the next one.
First question: give two uses for carbon nanotubes.
industrial catalysts and semi-conductors in electrical circuits
What are the three equations for the contact process? -
Re: OCR Gateway Chemistry C4,C5,C6- June 15th
Hot phosphoric acid catalyst! (i think)
What effect does the following have on yield and equilbrium
Temperature(450)
Atmosphoric pessure
Catalys
This type of question i have at least twice in past papers!
P.S Any advise on molar question? I stuggle with those and you need to master them..
-
Re: OCR Gateway Chemistry C4,C5,C6- June 15thlol they ask those sorts of things at gcse now :O? we learnt that in AS. i guess they dont ask why temperature and atmosphere effect the yield. Sorry for highjacking the thread was just curious ;p(Original post by Simran Mars Foster)

do you guys need to know that the direction the equilibrium shifts is dependent on whether or not the forward reaction is endothermic or exothermic?
-
Re: OCR Gateway Chemistry C4,C5,C6- June 15thOh no we don't actually! (phew!) Though im going to one day as i want to it for A level(Original post by cuckoo99)

equilibria is pretty straightforward at AS
GL with this exam, i did it last year and got 50/50 ums ;p

Re: OCR Gateway Chemistry C4,C5,C6- June 15thThere is a bit in the syllabus on why they affect things, some limited stuff about more collisions or something, I would love to know in a bit more depth though.(Original post by cuckoo99)

107g/mol
I couldn't find the mark scheme

Re: OCR Gateway Chemistry C4,C5,C6- June 15th
its OK. I need help with equilibrium/equilibria the book doesn't explain it properly and i looked at mark schemes its still not making any sense. I need exactly 49/60 in this exam to get an A altogether in chemistry (I messed around a lot in year 10)
