Re: Maths Unit 2 Edexcel Modular- June 13thWhere are you getting the m X m perpendicular = -1 from(Original post by Berry14)
its really annoying because i worked it out wrong but i knew how to do it, i just wrote down the wrong sign.
2y+x=5 through the point (3,7)
2y+x=5 (divide by 2)
y+x/2 = 2.5 (-x/2)
y=-x/2 +2.5
m X m perpendicular = -1
-0.5 X m perpendicular = -1 (divide by -0.5)
m perpendicular = 2
y=2x+c
7=2X3+c
7=6+c (-6)
1=c
answer: y=2x+1 -
Re: Maths Unit 2 Edexcel Modular- June 13thI got that but I found out it is wrong, you might have done what I did which is forget the base because that was 100cm^2 which would have given you 660cm^2. Hope this helps(Original post by Dhibla.)
I got 560cm^2

Re: Maths Unit 2 Edexcel Modular- June 13thOh, thanks... That is what I done. Hmph. There goes my A*(Original post by Periodic Table)

Re: Maths Unit 2 Edexcel Modular- June 13th
Everyone grade boundaries are as follows 52-A* 42-A 34-B 28-C
as this paper was not as easy as march because of the last question perpendicular line question which was rearranged funnily and i believe that the grade boundaries will stay the same as both this paper and the march paper wore similar in difficulty.

Re: Maths Unit 2 Edexcel Modular- June 13thwell edexcel accept it unsimplified as 12root6 over 6 but they prefer your answer of 2root6 with nothing on the bottom but the question was to rationalise the denominator so the best thing to do is to leave it(Original post by Cell Sap)
I think I done really bad on this paper. Was the rationalize denominator answer 2 root 6? -
Re: Maths Unit 2 Edexcel Modular- June 13th(Original post by AkhiMohamed)
that is (x+4)(x-4) this simplify to x^2+4x-4x-16 this becomes x^2-16
Did you had to simplify it? I only wrote (x+4)(x-4)... -
Re: Maths Unit 2 Edexcel Modular- June 13th(x+4)(x-4) was the answer(Original post by Mihawk Gallio)

Re: Maths Unit 2 Edexcel Modular- June 13thYou should for your working out. It was a 4 mark question if I remember clearly :P(Original post by Mihawk Gallio)
for the unit question I accidentally
I did
515 x
0.35
answer-----
answer
00000000
And put 180,250, Will I still get marks If I accidentally put 0 on my answer and working?
I know I won't get full marks -
Re: Maths Unit 2 Edexcel Modular- June 13thYes why was there so many marks for that question?!(Original post by zed963)

Re: Maths Unit 2 Edexcel Modular- June 13thno, just 23/90 was enough(Original post by Mihawk Gallio)
Phew, Thanks mate, so do I.
the 0.25 dot question was kinda easy
Here's explanantion =
10x2.5555555
- x 0.2555555
-----------
2.3
---- x 10 = 23/90
9
Did you had to write 23/90 'x' though? -
Re: Maths Unit 2 Edexcel Modular- June 13thFor an A* its most likely around the 50 mark or 90%(Original post by Berry14)
I really really want to know the grade boundaries! does anyone know them? Im dieing here -.-
You'll have to die until August the 23rd I guess
as this paper was not as easy as march because of the last question perpendicular line question which was rearranged funnily and i believe that the grade boundaries will stay the same as both this paper and the march paper wore similar in difficulty.
