But it seems to me there is definitely a double standard with regard to the labels of men and women who have multiple sexual partners. 99.99% of us like sex, regardless of gender - yet in our society, guys are praised for having multiple sexual partners while women who are similar are derided and labelled with the derogatory term: 'slut' or 'easy.' It strikes me as quite unfair

Why is this? Thoughts and opinions?

Its easier for girls to get sex so they are looked down upon.

Just like how its easier for guys to harm girls because we are generally physically stronger. So guys who hit girls are looked down upon more than if a girl was to hit a guy.

PS outside of relationships doesn't refer to the person you're having sex with. It's referring to an opposition to cheating one's partner.

Violence is never good but girls who hit their boyfriends will never be looked down upon as much as if a guy hit his girlfriend. Personally I'd view either gender as a slut if they go round sleeping with everyone.
I guess the reason that men are called players may have something to do with the personality of the guy, 'players' tend to be confident and outgoing, which usually makes them the leader of a group, people are unlikely to want to badmouth the most influential person in their group and so they just accept what he is doing, and may decide to copy him to try and emulate his popularity. With women on the other hand, 'sluts' don't necessarily have as high a status in a group and so her sexual activeness is used against her (similar to how if one of the less liked people in a group did something weird they would probably be abused because of it, but if one of the most popular people did it he would end up starting a new trend.)

Nope, not at all. I said specifically I WASN'T a feminist. Try reading my post next time.
- I also hate how women can force the father of their baby to pay for child-support and education etc, even if she tampered with the contraception they used in order to get herself pregnant and the guy didn't want a baby.
- I hate how domestic violence or rape committed against men by women is often not taken as seriously as if it were done the other way around (which you have already mentioned).
- I get bored listening to girls/women who talk about female oppression and how they must have control etc bla bla bla.

I merely felt like addressing this issue this time round.

I think a lot of it is to do with the history of it. For centuries, girls were taught to oppress sexual desires, whereas it was quite normal for men to embrace them. Therefore it's still thought of as normal for guys to sleep around, whereas girls are just expected to have sex with a long term partner. There is obviously a flaw in this ideology.
