I was wondering how do you know the alkali would only affect the OH and SO3H here?

Why does it have no effect on NH2?

-SO3H groups are very acidic (think about H₂SO₃), similarly phenolic OHs are also acidic

NH₂ is a basic functionality and won't be effected
