    Homophobic and sexist colleague
I have a colleague at work who is also an african pastor and I found out when I talked to him that he has very strong and conservative views on homosexuals and women. I really find it insufferable and at first I thought he was joking and then I seriously objected to him, but now he's saying little things so often I can't really cope anymore. I'm not sure what to do, I just pretend not to listen to him anymore whenever he talks or just move away from him so I dont get a chance to talk to him. Does anyone think its worth telling my line manager?

Get a tape recorder, catch him in the act, show your manager and then tell him to go and shove a totem pole up his ass.

I don't see how it can hurt. You shouldn't have to suffer abuse at work.

Tell a manager that you find his conduct unseemly, and ask that they tell him to keep his religious views to himself at work.

That or start talking about Jewish Zombies and what a slut Mary was etc...

It's his opinion. As long as that person doesn't do anything violent (threats, beating up etc), there is nothing you can do about it, as far as i am concerned it is fine to hold whatever opinion untill you put it int practice.

All African pastors are like this. Scum with backwards views quite frankly.

My advice? Avoid like the plague.

Tell him you find him offensive, and then tell the manager.
