I AM CRAZYYYY EXCITED LOL! you are so lucky you only have one left lol, i still have 4 to go!! :'(( yeah i thought that and my teacher was like, even if you get ABC or BBB, there is a good chance they will accept you in because they would rather want someone who wants to go to their university than someone who joins through clearing... but this doesnt mean fail your exams lol!
i think i chose all the en-suite rooms, i dont want the non-ensuite one's lol, so i chose clive booth, paul kent, and i really cant remember lol! what were the options?!
yeah! i really would love it if i get a 1st degree lol! where abouts are you now? like what city lol, far from Oxford?

Oh haha, so if I fail and dont get it Im going to be blaming you!! Lol, just kidding Well, all I can do is try my best, I have a real tough psychology paper on Monday that is really stressing me out!! So I cannot wait for it to be over!! (y) Aww, gosh 4 left? When do you finish?? Good luck!

Lol I cant remember the options. I chose all ensuite too, except WARNEFORD HALL....which I kind of regret now. I dont want to share my bathroom, god dont I sound selfish !!!

Im in Hanworth Middlesex atm, I dont know if you know of it xD . Driving to uni would take me about an hour!! Apparently they give you halls preference if you live further away, so that makes me think I have no chance whatsoever!! What about you, where do you live atm?

I got an offer from Northhampton but I rejected it. It was the uni I knew I could get into and I did as a sort of safety blanket!! Lol Ima fight for my place in Clive Booth, heck Ill hold a protest on the doorstep and then they'll have to give me a room...or they might call the popo but thats a risk im willing to take!! !!

I hope that come August we both tell eachother "OMG YOU'll NEVER GUESS WHOSE GOING BROOKES IN SEPTEMBER...MEEE!" Hehehe, yeah it'd be good to make a buddy before I go so that I know that there is somebody there! I wont be a loner, sitting in a corner.....baha

Omgosh, no your not crazy for thinking that. My cousin did not get along with his roomie at all at Aston Uni coz he kept stealing his fairy liquid. So he pissed in the bottle, and watched his roomie steal his "fairy liquid" and wash his plate! Its so harsh, but they do play pranks if things arent working out!

I told my mummy dearest that Im not sharing a bathroom with any tom dick or harry whose gonna clog it up and make it messy! I like a clean bathroom

Ahh, I really hope we both get in Would be sick! Is Oxford culturally diverse?

yeah same, i had northampton aswell but heck am i staying in my hometown lol! my insurance is de montfort.. whats yours? LOL yeah i know what you mean, clive booth is so suitable for us both as its near the law building as well!

and trusstttt me, i always imagined myself, though im a good person to get along with, to walk into the lecture room and have people laughing at me LOL!! again, i do think weird things lol.. i am actually really excited to start university but when i look at my a level work, i just want to cry because i cant be bothered to revise!

yeah that would be cool, it would suck if one of us didnt get in, because that means one of us is walking into that lecture room with having no 'pre-friends' LOL.

oh gosh, that is the exact reason why i do not want to share a bathroom! i want my own stuff, i want to be able to use the shower WHENEVER I WANT.. what if you want a shower and theres is a queue LOL?! that aint going to be nice is it? by the way, is there a TV in the living room in halls?

yeah i heard it is.. it is meant to be a young town full of different cultures.. but the weird thing is, i dont like going to parties, so i am going to be the ultimate dweeb in halls.. the first day the roommates saying "lets go to this club" and im like "meeeeehh, lets go out but not a club lol"

To answer that latter half of ur post. I lived in halls where we shared bathrooms and we left all are stuff in the shower we used, nobody used others and i never ever had to queue because we had 2 showers between 7. with all of us on different class schedules and things it meant we all showered at different times. Also because its shared it gets cleaned twice a week by the hall cleaner.

Your flat will not have a living room so no tv! if you want a tv in your room you have to get a tv license. Some halls have common rooms which do contain a tv but you will be sharing it with 100's of other students.

As for not going clubbing i had a flatmate just like that and even though you aint really into, go in freshers week to a couple of nights. It will make you feel better about your flatmates and such things. With my flat alot of us go clubbing with those who dont like it staying in. But then to make up for it we go out to the pub alot. As a point i know alot of people who do not socialise with there flat. they have friends from others and so it depends on who you make friends with as to what you will do.

As you are /were a brookes student I was wondering whther you can answer some questions??

Do you know whether ob are strict about the alevel conditions they set to students?
What was the best and worst thing about living in halls?
What is the hardest part about living on your own?

I am a brookes student. About to go into a 2nd year exchange as part of my degree.

Varies per subject as well as how many places they have. I know for my degree last year everybody who gained a place all achieved requirements. (not including mitigating circumstances) Brookes also did not enter clearing last year which goes to say how popular brookes is becoming as a university as so stricter measures will be taken.

Best part about living in halls is meeting loads of new people. I was lucky and got on really well with my flat and block and so spent alot of time with them. Worst thing i guess is just having to remember to do everything yourself. Get your laundry done and make sure washing up is done. Just little things. Hardest thing about living in your own is if you dont go out and mix with people it can get lonely. You are away from home and have to cook every day and clean up and can just be the last thing you want to do but it has to be done.
