    Exams - Correcting Written Mistakes
How understanding are examiners in regards to correcting mistakes in a paper. I make a few mistakes as I'm very scattered brained. If I did this:

"I went to the beach and I wrote my * name in the (*friend's) sand."

Would this be understood? What if I wanted to add an entire sentence at the end of my essay and put an asterix where this would be and wrote it at the bottom?

As long as it's clear where it's supposed to go, I don't see why not.
