You sleep with your iPod, and it is able to analyse your sleep pattern from your movements, then you set the time you need to be awake by and it's able to calculate the time in the 30 minutes leading up to your wake up time.

For example I set it to 5.25 but it woke me up at 5.04 today/

I used to do this, but at 6.30, 6.50 and 7, and sure, it helped me get up, but I found I was exhausted during the day? Now I just get up straight away at 7 by putting my alarm clock on my curtain rail on the other side of the room
Yeah I've also noticed this exhaustion; kinda weird.

I take my fiancé to work during the week so I get up at 6:30. However, on the weekends I won't even see the mornings; I don't get up until at least 2pm. Can't wait till he finishes work in September - 6am is an hour I never want to see on a regular basis ever again

Depends what shifts I am working. Earlies 5am, long days 5am wont get home til gone 10/11pm :/, Late shifts I usually lie in till about 10-11, night shifts I am not so good at sleeping in the day but the day before a night shift starts I won't sleep and then try and catch some sleep before going work!

If I am at uni there are a fair few 9am starts, since I commute I have to get up at 6.

Terrible at waking up. I tried the thing where you set an alarm and leave it the other side of your room to ensure that you have to get out of bed. It got me out of bed but there was nothing stopping me getting back in.

I thought that waking up to radio would be good because I could keep the music on and listen to it in bed while waking up... it doesn't work.

To answer the question: I try and wake up for 9am, but will usually snooze myself all the way to 11/12

I need to be up at 5.30 tomorrow for a 7.30 start at work.

    Any tips?

I'm not a good sleeper and I only found out today so I've not been able to coordinate my sleep pattern.

Now I'm usually a late nights and late rising sort of person. Its wrong I know, but I find it hard to coordinate my body to go to sleep any earlier than I normally do, on days that I need to be up much earlier. So when I really want to be up early I practice getting up early. This sounds insane! But it works...

What I mean by this is that I practice getting up straight away to an alarm. The day before getting up early, if you have the time, lie in bed like you're going to sleep, but don't obviously fall asleep! Set your alarm for a few minutes later. Then get up straight as your alarm goes off. Practice this routine a couple more times, until it becomes an automatic thing. It normally helps if you do it over a few days, say 3 or 4 times a day, so its really gets planted into your head. That way, when your alarm goes off at 5:30am, you'll get up straight away, without even thinking about it! It works, trust me!

I usually get up at around 8-ish when I'm at school, half 9 to 10ish on weekends and if i'm feeling super lazy even later on holidays!

Normally wake up at 7am go back to sleep for 10-15mins then girlfriend brings coffee/espresso which we drink in bed. After that, I either get up at 7:30ish but sometimes I go back to sleep for another half hour and get up at 8am feeling really awake.

I'm one of those weirdos and prefer to "take my time", breakfast, shower, even short cardio session if I can etc etc So usually I'll wake up at 5:30am.
If im not doing anything, around 7am or 9am maximum. I use to be a total insomniac, probably why I wake up so early everyday.

In term time my alarm goes off at about quarter past 7 but then I keep hitting snooze until about 7:45.
School holidays and weekends any time between 8 and 12 depending on what I'm doing that day

I'll normally wake up from half 7 (in the morning, ofc) to half 8. I'm someone who likes to stay in bed for a while though, and so I'll probably be out of bed from 9 - half 9.

At school, 7am. At home, as late as possible! I like breakfast in bed at 11, haha.

Re: What time do you normally get up?
I have to say, I love an early start, even if I don't have early plans, largely because I feel like if I wake up a few hours late, or even stay in bed longer than 'necessary', I feel like I've wasted a few hours of the day, when I could be getting things done.
To be fair though, I don't often stay up that late (tonight is an exception), usually going to bed about ten/half-ten, so I'm still getting about nine hours of sleep. Plus I have to be up at six for school anyway though, so I'm used to it.
    Early mornings are good!

Re: What time do you normally get up?
If I'm getting up for work, I set my first alarm for half 6. I have to be in work for 1pm, but I take ages getting ready! It's mainly because I get easily distracteed (e.g. I'll play a game for like 2 hours, or listen to music for an hour and a half) and because when there's nobody else in the house I can spend up to 40 minutes in the shower because I end up daydreaming or getting distracted.

When I don't need to go anywhere, I wake up between half 10 and half 11.
