Re: M95 - Motion on BBC coverage of the Jubilee river pageantExcellent rant and I support everything you said! Aye! I do like the BBC's policies and ways of doing things but this was just out-right boring and unstructured. It could have been so much better!(Original post by toronto353)
Aye! In all seriousness, the commentary was poor. You had Matt Baker who has an annoying voice and seems to harp on every minute about Strictly Come Dancing; Tess Daley who spent all her time dancing or nattering inanely to some idiot that she picked out from the crowd; Anneka Rice who grinned continually, went on about naming whatever bridge she was on 'craft bridge' as if it was a wonderfully inspired idea and spoke and look like she was eating something, Huw Edwards who did very little in all honesty; Angelica Bell who just happened to be at a maternity ward (and spent all her time trying to make the term Jubilee baby stick in much the same was as Millennium Baby has - she failed though) and the rest of the BBC morons who all seemed to have been conveniently picked. Poor commentary, poor hosting and some god awful annoying people. I don't even consider this a joke motion considering how bad the coverage was.
Rant over!
Yeah, Captain Jack to the rescue! He seemed pretty happy though!(Original post by Gales)
They even used John Barrowman...

And now after all the criticism has come out about the coverage we have this hilariously unprofessional response from Ms.cotton

Thing is, it was crap weather and watching an old lady stand up on a boat for 4 hours straight was always going to be dull. But they could at least have got some better informed and more intellectual presenters to give it an inkling of class. (rather than pampering to some imaginary idiot commoners)
