E-Petition For Indictment Of Bahar Al -Assad and Military involvement in Syria
E-Petition For Indictment Of Bahar Al -Assad and Military involvement in Syria to safe guard civilians.
I want Assad Indicted by the ICC for crimes against humanity he is violating the Rome Statute of the ICC (Article 7) Which In short terms means for the purpose of this Statute, "crime against humanity" means any of the following acts when committed as part of a widespread or systematic attack directed against any civilian population, with knowledge of the attack:
(a) Murder;
(b) Extermination;
(e) Imprisonment or other severe deprivation of physical liberty in violation of fundamental rules of international law;
(f) Torture
The Second Point I Want The British Army to go into Syria to stop the massacre of innocent men and women and children who just want freedom , How would you feel if this happened to you ?

Re: E-Petition For Indictment Of Bahar Al -Assad and Military involvement in Syria
1. E-petitions are a joke, especially when they come to international issues like this.
2. The British Army shouldn't get involved. The British Army is smarter than me and you. It has it's own intelligence and understands the situation better than me and you. Do you know what the repercussions of going to war with Syria would be? No, you probably don't and any information would be forming from your armchair general perspective. Do you know how much we would have to invest in the situation? Do you know how easy the transition would be and whether there would be a power grab?
3. How do you know Assad has knowledge of the supposed actions of his military? Now, I love America but if Bush can claim he had no knowledge of Abu Gahrib and Haditha killings then I don't see why Assad can't get away with the actions of his military and not have knowledge of it? How would you go about proving such a thing? Because court isn't a little joke for your slacktivism. It's real **** and not something you done a whim.
I'm not against the British Army going to Syria. I support the concept of humanitarian interventions. However, the question of when they should go is best left up to them. We can't answer such questions and it's dangerous to think we can.
